I graduated from the University of Michigan, where I focused on Science Fiction and Fantasy for my senior seminar while working with the English Composition Board to tutor other students with their university level writing. Upon graduation I worked as a technical writer in various freelance and contract jobs. I have also run my own online business, selling educational products from my home. Meanwhile, I have written unit studies, articles for newsletters, and more recently, an article on magic items for a "how to write fantasy" publication, a novel and a children's picture book.
